The Beginning

CHUR is an Australian Tech company, founded in 2018 by Stewart Adams. We specialise in a multitude of technologies and comprehensive tech services including wifi indoor positioning, indoor tracking at events, smart cities, mobile apps, algorithms, data and analytics and more.
The Start of Something:
Stewart started his mobile tech career in 2002, working at Vodafone, then moving to iPrimus, Optus, CommsForce, and iPass. While all were fruitful, there was an obvious disconnection between what he was doing and what he wanted to be doing. Then in 2017, while living and working in Silicon Valley, CA, he came up with an idea to build a company that was equivalent to his values and would accurately reflect what he was passionate about.
Risking everything to make his idea a reality, CHUR was established in a small apartment as a big idea with no money. It took nine months of consistent and strenuous effort to find the right VC, who saw and believed in the potential of the company the way Stew did. In March 2018, Jonray Tech was introduced to the company and was able to present us with the funding we needed to establish a proof of concept, secure an office in Sydney, and hire the first few employees. We then went on to sign our first deal.
From Then to Now:
In just over a year and a half, our employees have completely redefined the potential of technology in the areas of wifi indoor positioning, algorithms, data and analytics. Our in-house tech team have imagined and built their own algorithms and coding languages to achieve our goals and deliver the most accurate and scalable venue and event-based tracking / behavioural software, which is not only robust but scalable and future proof — proving we are constantly chasing the “impossible”.
